Wickham is a welcoming village with easy access to Southampton, Winchester and Portsmouth. It sits on the edge of rolling hills of the South Downs and the varied Solent coastline. The River Meon runs through the village and the disused railway provides a popular ten mile off road route for walkers and cyclists.
The village centre has a beautiful square with medieval origins filled with bustling independent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. In Bridge Street the magnificent Chesapeake Mill offers a unique retail experience and an excellent cafe.
The village hosts several large events during the year including a horse fair, charity beer festival, village fete, duck race, music festival, Taste of Wickham and the informal Boxing Day meet up for vintage vehicles and motorbikes. See the events page for more information.

20 years ago this month this worthy gent came to Wickham with a proposal for a music festival. Had a cup of tea in our kitchen, the cats liked him. Camping and parking arrangements still to be arranged but … as they say…. the rest is history Wickham Music Festival (photo nicked from Peter’s page)
